Skylar and I are adjusting to Mommy being back at work. I have been so busy and tired when I get home that I have been slacking in the blog area. Sorry to those of you who look forward to the updates.
Summer came and went so fast, but we really did have fun. I am sure next year will be even better, but now we are looking forward to all the fall fun we can have. The weather has been so beautiful that we have been spending our weekends outdoors. Skylar loves to be outside and now it is cooling down enough to actually spend some time out there.

Sunday and Monday were family days. We lounged around the house Sunday and in the afternoon we took Sky on our usual walk route, took the stroller, but for the first time we let Sky walk. I couldn't believe that she walked the whole way! She loved it! She would hold my hand and yell "run" as we went down the hill and when she almost fell she said "I catch you Mommy". It was adorable. We spent the rest of the afternoon drawing rainbows and sunshine on the driveway with chalk...now one of her favorite activities. She actually tried to use it on the linolium floor and was disappointed when it just wasn't the same.

Monday we took her to the neighborhood playground and Whitney joined us. She adores Skylar. It makes me happy that they have such a sweet little bond because Whitney and I had that bond too. She makes me feel old:) For those of you who don't know Whitney, I have known her since she was about 4 and used to watch her and her sister. Now she is married and watches my daughter on occasion and comes to play even when she isn't watching her.

We are planning some fun stuff this fall and just can't wait. Upcoming blogs should include the State Fair, Montross Fall Festival, and a visit to Belvedere Plantation for pumpkins. Not to mention Halloween and the upcoming #2. So much more fun to come!
