Looking at my blog it seems it has been two years since I have blogged....well I guess I have been busy being Mommy instead of writing about it, but I have two passions in life: my child and my writing, so it's time to get back to it.
Skylar is quite amazing! She has grown so much! She is reading and writing now and will be going into Kindergarten next year. She still loves dance. This year she has a ballet and tap routine. She will be dancing to Cindy Lauper's True Colors for her ballet, and I Want Candy for her tap routine. I have gotten a sneak peak and it is adorable. Her performance will be at King George High School on May 31st. If you are interested in a ticket please contact me and I can get you information.
In the last three years we have all become a much healthier and active family. I took up running and Skylar and Phil soon followed. They ran their first race last August for the Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Then we ran the Chandler mile and 5k in Montross in October. Skylar now has two metals for races and we hope to train some more this summer.
This spring she wants to try her hand at soccer. I may even volunteer to coach. She is quite ambitious and very determined. She loves art and quite good at it. She gets that from her father because her drawings are better than mine
