Well, today was my last official day of summer. Tomorrow it is back to work. It will be tough not waking up and hanging out with my girl, but we will both adjust...in time. It has been a great summer and we have done everything from play dress up to play in the ocean at Emerald Isle. We came home from Aunt Sarah's on August 16th. Skylar traveled really well and hasn't stopped asking for "Bewwa" since we got home.
Sarah lives 20 minutes from the ocean, so we took Skylar to play for a few hours. She liked it much better than last year.
She even found some new friends and decided she liked their toys better than the ones she had just picked out at the store. We had a cook out with all of Nelson's marine buddies, the kids played well (Skylar, Bella, & Dominic-Nelson's son). Nelson is a big kid himself and brought a bunch of toys home for the kids. He had the back yard all set up like a little water park. The kids...and myself, had a great time.

The visit was too short and we miss them all very much.
While we were there, Dominic was potty training and Skylar became quite interested. Before we left she started telling me when she "pee-peed & poo-pooed", but when she saw Dominic's potty seat she wanted to sit on it. The day after we returned home we took her to Border's and Target to get potty books and pull-ups. She has started potty training and is doing very well.
With the end of summer comes a new school year and we are looking forward to the fall weather and new fall activities Skylar will be ready to try.
