I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We had a busy but great Christmas. We all got sick after, but it was still great. We are on the road to recovery now...I hope:) Santa was wonderful to Skylar, and we really enjoyed her excitement. This was the best year so far. We stayed in for New Years and had our own little family party. We were all a little under the weather anyway so it suited us just fine. Our night was full of board games, movies, and fun with the munchkin. We got funny glasses, hats, and noise makers and sparkling grape juice. Skylar actually made it to midnight, she took a late nap. It was her first New Years that she stayed up. It was alot of fun. I am sure Christmas and New Years will only get better over the years.

Sky is so grown now. Every day I search for traces of baby and they are just disappearing into the features of a little girl. She is really enjoying her time at daycare. She is learning alot and has a few new little friends too. Every week she learns a new letter and brings home tons of great things she has done having to do with it. This week she is on letter M.
We are all moved in and finally unpacked with very little organizing to go. Who am I kidding, there is always more organizing to do. Skylar's Toys alone are a continuous organizational cycle. We switch them out every six months or so. When the new one's come out, or I should say old ones, it's like Christmas all over again.
Skylar really enjoys living with Grandma. She hasn't even asked about the old house. We went by for mail one day and she had a fit "NO, I don't want to go to the old house I live with Grandma now! I want to go to Grandma's house". It is difficult being farther from all of our other family and friends but we are making it work. We travel to Fredericksburg every Saturday now because Skylar has joined cousin Audrey's dance class. Last week was her first class, but she really liked it and it is a nice bonding experience for her and her cousin. It is only a half hour class and it is called Parent and Play, so I get to join in with her. Good, a little exercise won't hurt me, lol.
There really isn't much new going on right now, which is good we need it to slow down a bit. We have a few busy weekends coming up though. Skylar is totally excited about cousin Bella's birthday party this weekend that she has been talking about it all week. Next weekend is Creepop's and my birthdays so we have another family celebration. Then, the last weekend of the month we are going to have a blizzard party with our good friends the Coopers. Yes I said blizzard! The farmer's almanac says blizzard January 30-31, so me and all the other teachers I know are doing our snow dance and holding out hope. We really just thought it would be fun to get the kids together, eat hot wintery food, and make winter themed crafts. I'm a crafter what can I say. Skylar enjoys it too.
